There is no actual year written anywhere on this page. Could you please include the years from which your data was sourced.

Hi – thanks for writing…
Data was compiled by Visual Economics-
The chart was first done July 2010 – but it looks like they referenced averages from multiple years. Best.

Isn’t the normal person suppose to eat around 2,400 calories a day?
Keirensays
After a bit of snooping, seems an average of 1,940 calories per day for woman age 19-50 is recommended. Men get to do a lot more snacking – recommended about 2,550 calories per day for men between 19-50. Recommended for 15 to 19 year old boys, 2,755 calories per day!

I think 2.4 is a bit high. I try to stay around 1.2

I have been working on the world and its surviveability per capita in the next 30 years /to 100 years. we are in for such a surprise that when realized it will be too late.
PEOPLE in general do not understand the TORAH GOD designed the ballance of use of food according to population growth. this is not a jewish its his plan for L I F E .

Robin-fairysays
three things, first BMI is not accurate, second most people in the US who are over 35 are at least slightly overweight. The man in this would be considered so as well, but you don’t mention that because no one seems to care if men are fat.

The non cheese dairy products seems way off no one I know consumes almost 2lbs a day! this doesn’t count milk or ice cream or butter which are already mentioned in the graph, i think either someone added a zero or they are including wasted food in this.
Kane Jamisonsays
Yeah, this post is more than 6 years old now, but I googled “non cheese dairy products” and couldn’t find much. It does seem like it would be hard to find much dairy beyond eggs/milk/cheese…
